NASCAR's Biffle Flags Down Friends In Need
Biffle and his longtime girlfriend, Nicole Lunders, have started The Greg Biffle Foundation.
They started not long after finding dog Foster near Hickory.
"He was about seven weeks old and we became really attached to him," Biffle told WXII 12's Dave Goren. "After a year or two down the road we found a lot of dogs needed homes."
The foundation tries to raise money to help groups that go around get animals. Their first project is a calendar of NASCAR drivers, their families and their pets.
"There's a lot of animal lovers out there, to, and to see someone like Greg kind of put a personal touch on something that they have a passion for, I think that's neat for the fans because they can relate to Greg," Lunders said.
Biffle now has three dogs, including the newest one, Savannah.
The foundation gets all the proceeds from the calendar when it's purchased from the foundation's Web site.
