iFree India Mobile Content

i-Free has introduced its new mobile phone videos and animation clips to India's mobile content market. i-Free's entire portfolio of trendy mobile content products is now available in India.
i-Free first came to India in November 2005, launching its services simultaneously on all the major Indian mobile phone networks: Hutch, Airtel, Reliance, MTNL, and others. At first, Indian subscribers were offered games, images and tunes, most of them developed by i-Free specially for the Indian market.
Now i-Free India has expanded its local services range by adding videos and animation, also custom-tailored to the local market. i-Free has established a dedicated task force to develop mobile content for India. In addition to Indian musicians, artists, animators and video artists, the force includes Indian creators and consultants. This production model makes sure that i-Free products capture local mentality and color, and that they are competitive and appeal to Indian mobile phone users.
"We are pleased with our work in India so far, and we view it as a highly promising market," said Nikolai Matveev, Director of i-Free India, commenting on the new product launch. "Now that i-Free can offer its most sought-after content products in India, we expect a major surge in sales."
India, population 1.2 billion, is a fast-growing market for mobile services. Cellular operators have increased their coverage 40% over the past six months alone. There are over 70 million mobile phone users in India at the moment. i-free will soon follow up by launching its SMS and WAP-based infotainment services in India.
