Bulacan starts SMS query service

BULACAN province recently launched an SMS service that allows constituents to send text messages to specific officers or agencies of the local government. "I-Text Mo, Bulakenyo" enumerates 15 keywords of government officials and agencies as well as nine information services where Bulacan residents and visitors can inquire.
The service is only available through Smart and Talk N' Text though there could be plans to introduce one for other mobile telecommunications providers. Through the service, a Bulacan resident can send questions by first typing the keyword, then the message, name and contact details. The message should be send to 700742, the last three numbers are initials of the provincial government of bulacan.
