Mobile365 Signs Premium SMS Deal in Taiwan

Mobile 365 says that it has successfully obtained full Premium SMS (PSMS) connectivity with three mobile operators in Taiwan. The cross-operator PSMS connectivity not only enables Mobile 365 customers to reach over 23 million mobile subscribers in Taiwan, but lets those customers to connect to its global distribution footprint of over 120 PSMS connections across Europe, Asia, and the Americas.

"Having been in the Taiwan mobile industry for over five years, we have seen phenomenal market growth - from a mere 30% penetration rate in 1999 to the current 110%," said Matthew Talbot, Managing Director, Asia, Mobile 365. "Despite a fondness for ringtones and technology in general, mobile applications are not as widespread as expected in a mature market like Taiwan. With the ability to render full PSMS connectivity, we aim to drive the usage of mobile application services in Taiwan by bringing in global customers and global content." Talbot added, "For local content providers, connecting to Mobile 365 makes it easier for them collaborate with other local and global customers, taking their content to a wider audience."
