Google, EarthLink win San Francisco WiFi

San Francisco has selected Google and EarthLink to provide them with free WiFi access across the city.
The Internet search engine and service provider jointly placed a bid for the contract with the city's commission, together with four other bidders.
The San Francisco Department of Telecommunications and Information Services will begin contract negotiations with the two companies following the city's decision. EarthLink has already been chosen by the city of Philadelphia to build its municipal WiFi network.
